Two dogs have been shot dead after sheep were killed during attacks within the first 11 days of January.
Gwent Police Rural Crime Team said six sheep had been killed - with another six injured - ‘unnecessarily' after dog attacks in Blaenau Gwent, Caerphilly, Monmouthshire, Newport and Torfaen.
Police indicated two further dogs faced destruction after the incidents and remined owners to keep dogs secured.

Cheshire Police Rural Crime Team had also confirmed three dogs had been shot after attacking and killing 25 sheep during December.
