Social media influencers with over 130 million subscribers have helped to raise awareness of farming among young people.

Sidemen, a seven-man British YouTube group consisting of internet personalities including rapper and boxer KSI, undertook a '24 hours of farming' challenge on Sandy Farm in Surrey earlier this year.

On the episode - ‘Sidemen Become 草榴社区 for 24 hours' - features the group getting hands-on with livestock farming and learning about the challenges farmer's face on a daily basis.

The group learned how to round up sheep into a pen, split off ewes from the lambs for shearing, moving them on to new grass and weighing cattle to check their condition.

Sideman also got involved with the physical work with plenty of dung work, scaling hay stacks, repairing leaking pipes and splitting logs.

KSI - better known for the drink Prime which he created alongside American influencer Logan Paul and his collaboration with DJ Nathan Dawe on the single 'Lighter' - will be fighting Tommy Fury next month who is the brother of world champion boxer Tyson Fury.
