Bought as a foundation ewe for their son Robbie's flock, she was bought for 3,000gns from Carlisle last autumn and has won the Royal triple, taking the breed champion rosettes at the Highland and Yorkshire before clinching the Royal Welsh.

Judge Tim Pritchard, Glamorgan said his champion was an outstanding ewe which was smart and sharp.

The couple completed the continental championship double when their Rouge aged ewe took reserve spot. She was purchased privately from Tannerhill, Northern Ireland last year and was reserve female champion at the Great Yorkshire and the Royal Welsh.

The Kerry Hill took the top spot in the native and upland championship and went to take reserve overall supreme. The yearling ewe from Herefordshire breeders John and Pippa Owens, was shown and prepared by their daughters Ellie and Hannah.

The March 2022-born ewe is out of a home-bred ewe and by one of the flock's stock rams, Dulwyne Zeus.

Reserve native and upland went to the Brecknock Hill Cheviot from Caryl Howells, Carmarthenshire.
The four-year-old ram was purchased from the Jones family, Tymawr as a yearling from the breeds annual Sennybridge ram sale.

The lowland champion was a Suffolk from Dafydd Jones, with a yearling ewe from his Aberystwyth based Frongoy flock.

Dafydd was collecting the breed championship for the second year in a row. The January 2022-born ewe is part of his 60-head flock and is by Strathbogie Rock On Tommy and out of a home-bred ewe. Earlier in the season it was inter-breed champion at Aberystwyth Show.

The lowland reserve was awarded to the Clun Forrest, from Gwawr Hughes, Lleyn Peninsular.

This is only Gwawr's second time showing at Builth and the yearling ewe is by a Hayton tup and Aberrheon bred ewe from her 12-head flock.

Securing the ram lamb championship was a Blue Texel from Dylan Jones, Carmarthen with a lamb from his Beili Blues flock.
The February born lamb was also breed champion and is by an Ettrick bred ram, which they purchased from Carlisle last year.

In reserve was the Beulah from Mervyn and Jackie Price who are based a stones throw from the showground in Beulah.
Their February 2022-born lamb is  out of a home-bred ewe and by a ram purchased from Iestyn Richards, Carmarthen.

A February born Badger Face Texel took the ewe lamb inter-breed, for Michael James, Dunhow flock, Builth Wells.  The Cleenagh Body Builder sired lamb is out of a ewe that bred the inter-breed ram lamb champion at the show last year and bred lambs to 11,000gns.

Reserve was given to the Texel from E. Morgan, Bleancar flock, Sennybridge, a son of Sportsman Daredevil and out of a Knock bred ewe.

The group of three championship was clinched by the Beulah Speckle Face, all of which were bred and exhibited by Eirwyn Richards, Carmarthen.

The reserve was taken by the Kerry Hills, which were all class winners of their national show. The group was made up of a ewe lamb from Sion Jones, Aberystwyth and two from the Owens family, Herefordshire.
