The Cobra uses a 770mm diameter, 1,000mm wide 32-knife V formation in-line chop cylinder directly connected to the pto. This design allows a maximum input power of 400hp. The unit uses a three metre wide pickup and belt feed into the intake rollers. Elho says this design allows the machine to collect wider and heavier swaths alongside collecting shorter smaller cuts at higher speed. For transport, the pickup assembly folds vertically, with its 1,300kg weight supported by three hydro-pneumatic rollers positioned under the bed. For stability in work, the inside rear wheel extends telescopically by 750mm to increase the machine track width. Users looking to apply additives to the forage can carry a 1,000-litre IBC on the optional forks and linkage positioned at the rear of the machine.
